EDGECOMB COMMUNITY CHURCH

Community Meals

Edgecomb Community Church holds delicious community meals in the Fellowship Hall. There’s a friendly spirit as people gather, browse in the thrift shop, check out the items on the free table, pick up a book for summer reading or simply share summer experiences. There are often people from away who become friends before dessert is served.

Some meals are now being prepared in the form of take-out meals to accommodate the surrounding workforce.  Sub Sales and Take Out Bean Suppers will be offered at various times throughout the year.  The same care is taken to reach out to our friends and neighbors offering a good meal and a friendly smile.

Over the years the community meals have provided a way for people to come together to support each other and to support worthy community and global causes. Who knows who you might meet while sharing baked beans, a favorite family casserole or a delicious homemade dessert! You could be dining with a fisherman from Boothbay Harbor, a fireman from Edgecomb or a businessman from Damariscotta.  The person pouring your coffee could be a retired nuclear physicist, a caregiver with the Eldercare Network or a local television personality.  Community meals provide not only a great meal but also a chance to be a part of the caring community in action.

Welcome, it’s always good food and good fellowship for a good cause
